One inside and one outside, and the order doesn't matter, we just have to upgrade LBers. As I've said before, he is a JL type with more explosive base. but I have to defer to people who study that stuff, I don't. But if he can play like Lee...take himby Blue and Gold - RamsFootballFans.com
From what I saw, he generally played well. He wasn't always savvy in run game, saw hesitation that didn't happen with Barwin. (If people watched, they'd see that Barwin was money versus the run last year much better than out inside linebackers and Quinn) But, I digress, he's the only one I am looking forward to Barron, I know what he is. Littleton? Like him on STs, but never seen him at MIKE,by Blue and Gold - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotejemach I'm not sure you can compare players based on one stat. And to do it badly on top of that. The lengths people will go to in order to stick to the "Wade is god" theory. It's all fine to be optimistic but to ignore the LBer situation and say "Wade knows what he;s doing" as the illogical (appeal to authority) answer is lame. Truth is Littleton, though aby Blue and Gold - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteSpeed_Kills Longacre is an unknow in that he has always been a reserve but yes more of a known than the 2nd year Ebukam. I think the Rams are rolling the dice here - We will see how this turns out and they still have time to add someone. We don’t who’s going to shake lose this summer he won't kill you because he hustles and is smart, but he will never give us the pure rush needed off tby Blue and Gold - RamsFootballFans.com

QuoteRams43 I just watched the Ram-Titans game and I’ve gotta tell ya that Quinn played poorly, indeed. Including 2 costly penalties, I might add. Won’t be all that hard to replace. Barwin wasn’t impressive either, tbh. I’m optimistic that fresh faces at LB could execute Wade’s schemes significantly better. Quinn played well in that game. And it is hard to replace this kind of effortby Blue and Gold - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRam Fan Teacher I agree B&G. I was hoping they could replace him and save the money (I know, you can't get rid of everybody). It just seemed like he got smothered often and Ogletree was out of position too many times leaving our safeties to make a TD saving tackle. I hope we draft well because our LB's are scaring me. I guess Wade knows better than me what Barron and Littleton can do inby Blue and Gold - RamsFootballFans.com
This is not isolated, though this one is pretty bad, Now, this big run in not ALL on Barron, but he should have been in hole to make tackle. But he got reached and smothered...He has skills in coverage, but he lacks the ability to get off blockers. When he runs free, he does sometimes make plays, but this is not what a good run defense needs. A LBer who gets wired to blockersby Blue and Gold - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteAlbaNY_Ram Actually, every position (or position group) drops by at least 1/2 from the first round to the third ... except TE (which goes from 67% to 39%.) as I posted a few days ago, it's about the chances... and the odds are that the good players (Pro Bowl was one marker) like Pro Bowlers are the ones taken at the top of the draft, the top 2 rounds are going to be better odds of findingby Blue and Gold - RamsFootballFans.com

For example, this is what was ACTUALLY said by McVay, not what he "clearly values" Wide receiver Sammy Watkins had a fairly short stay in Los Angeles, but it his time on the Rams’ offense was nevertheless impactful. Watkins made 39 receptions for 593 yards — not the most impressive stats on paper. But he also led the team with eight touchdowns, seven of which came from inside theby Blue and Gold - RamsFootballFans.com
Back then it was a 2-gap defense, and only Collins and Ekern moved from strong to weak. Ekern was always on the strong or TE side. The Outside backers were left and right, not strong and weak. Same with Youngblood and Doss, Owens and Youngblood were always left, Doss and Wilcher/Andrews were always right.by Blue and Gold - RamsFootballFans.com
3 guys always go to weak side, 3 to strong side. The strong side is the 3 receiver side, usually where TE is. The only exceptions to this is if the offense uses motion to switch the strength and that can catch guys on the wrong side but they just have to adjust and play the defense even though they are on wrong side.by Blue and Gold - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteSunTzu_vs_Camus so the best coverage ILB would be the WILB/"Mo".......right? The best run stuffing/shed&tackle type LB would be SILB/"Mike".....right?? Is that the way I should think of it? .......and is that the same way they are used in Wade's hybrid scheme too?? Yes, that would be right, even in Wade's scheme. Barron, is, for all intents and purposes a weakby Blue and Gold - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteSunTzu_vs_Camus not sure tho...can't remember where I read it. Is Barron SILB? ...to cover TEs? Littleton WILB?? I remember how a 3-4 ILB is differentiated this second.... I'm a little chemo-foggy!! LOL last year Ebukan played only as a backup for Barwin. Longacre backed up Quinn. However, to me, Ebukan, didn't look like he could only play one spot, the SAM or WILL, I thinkby Blue and Gold - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotejemach This will be interesting. It's the ability to make others better around you that people don't notice if there aren't #'s along with it. I'm still saying the screen game will not be as effective this year due to missing Watkins blocking and size downfield. The thing is, there is merit to BOTH of the arguments. Quotejemach I just don't see it. The big guys up front can do their job but somebody is going to have to set up and fill a hole...
