I don't buy this particular spin. He did pretty well with a mostly inherited team. And given what he inherited, he had a golden opportunity to do well. He ought to do well 5 years later when normal attrition changes the team. I haven't looked at numbers but it's common sense that teams change a lot in 5 years. QuoteThe Professor Rams get 5 comp picks 3,4,6,6,6 as well as a 7 from Miami but we traded our 1 and 4. So the extra 3 replaces our lost 1. The late 4 replaces our original 4. The extra picks are three 6s and a 7. Hopefully we are done with WRs and RBs as day 2 picks. We probably get an OL, CB and DL with those three picks. Quotemerlin By that I mean he'll run routes that favor him. The more of a tree he can run, the more he'll be used too. Defenses know which guys can only run go routes and posts and will sit on those. QuoteHornsUpRamily! Was anyone else confused by the Rams' decision not to draft offensive linemen? Now that Andrew Whitworth appears to be retiring, it's even more of a mystery. In fact, the Rams added just Tremayne Anchrum in 2020, and now have 3 undrafted offensive linemen in 2021. Are the Rams counting on the 3 new additions for 2022? Interesting perspective. QuoteSunTzu_vs_Camus to me anyway. I'd teach Harris to be the 2nd coming of Megatron by the QB that threw to him. QuoteLMU93 Yeah, regardless of what they call him, where they line him up, etc. he has to be at least marginally able to (a) block and (b) play special teams. QuoteRockRam Harris is in the Pitts mold. Long, fast, unbelievably athletic for his size. FASSSSSST. The difference is that Pitts has developed his skill set for a long time, and Harris is in the early stages. A thought on blocking: yes, some amount of sand in the pants is needed for TEs.
