QuoteBearlyThere If coaching was what held the Lions back (even with Stafford), and what helped turn the Rams around (which I believe it is in both cases), then the Lions have a chance with a new coaching staff. As far as talent, I think the Lions have more talent in some places once it plays with renewed focus and energy.Anything's possible but I don't think it's as simple as just changing tby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
QuotePaco70 If Stafford gives Corbett his seal of approval then McVay rolls with that. If Stafford tells McVay Corbett can't cut it we'll be shopping for a new C.I'm anxious to see what Stafford brings to the OL in terms of line calls and protections. Okay, and getting the ball out quickly and reading the defense too. I think what Brady did for TB's OL can't be overstated. Would love it Staffoby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
Being greedy, I hope the Rams win the SB every year and being short-tempered, I get pissed every time they don't. But, I made a deal with the universe back in '99 so all in all, I never get TOO disappointed. After 20 years, I not only got to see them finally win one, it was arguable the best single season story in NFL history. Between Vermeil, Martz, Faulk, Warner, etc., it's hard to imagine iby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
Not sure how accurate this site is, but they consider Jones a "high risk" for injury. Of course, his last few injuries were thigh/hamstring strains. Seems like older players on bad teams can suffer from these if a season is out of reach. Would he have a resurgence like Bruce did if he gets traded to the Rams?by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteJamesJM he would seem to fit right in. :imsorry :beercanNot having a Gurley level end zone threat has impacted our red zone offense for sure. Honestly, if that bridge hadn't been burned, I'd take Gurley back just as a red zone specialist.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
It will be interesting to see what the fans are wearing at games. Of course, if they don't make the Ferragamo's or Gabriel's or other older versions as available to purchase as the Fabonacci's, then it won't really clear things up. Sadly, I would not put it past KD to flood the shelves with the new stuff for just that reason.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
I'd bet that most, if not all Goff critics are not too happy about being "right". I admit that something about Goff rubbed me the wrong way from the beginning but I also had hoped, for the team and the fans, that the Rams had finally hit on a true franchise QB. Not that they hadn't had good QB's at one time or another but aside from Gabriel, they really hadn't had any longevity or staby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
Funny, while reading your post, the movie Major League popped into my head. "Who the f*** are these guys?" Then it occurred to me that Goff would fill the Dorn role and Gurley would fill the Jake Taylor role. What an underdog story the '21 Lions could be!by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
...that the Rams can utilize? Jones seems to be at his best when he's getting a TON of targets. He's certainly a great receiver in a lot of ways but with all he's done, he's never been much of a red zone threat. The guy averages well above 150+ targets every year when he's healthy but only once had 10 TD. And that was almost 10 years ago. And isn't like he's getting 9, 8. 9, 9 each year. 3,by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
The only realistic scenario I see is if Snead is given some kind of sentimental discount or preferential treatment due to his ties with Atlanta. As far as Jones the player, his reputation is unmatched while the reality is probably just a shadow of what he once was. Hypothetically, adding a great player is always worth considering but as others have mentioned, it's hard to imagine how the Raby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
But assumptions and suppositions don't equate to proof of immaturity. Even the example of McVay saying there was a communication breakdown and his admission that he could have handled things differently don't illustrate someone who is immature. If anything, it's an exhibition of maturity. Now, McVay obviously can't be incredibly experienced at this point since he's so young but I haven't seeby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
From the outside looking in, it seems very much to me like the Packers got too cute for their own good. And probably even took Rodgers for granted a little bit. He may be playing the diva but I haven't heard of anything that he's done or asked for that has seemed out of line for a league MVP. Wasting a first round pick on a QB that couldn't even win the backup job seems like a perfect exampleby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotedzrams I do think there's a chance Goff performs much better without McVay pressure. Maybe his confidence comes back. But make no mistake about it, all three have to succeed. If Goff doesn't succeed, he may be replaced in the draft next year. His career and longevity in the league is at stake. Quoteno name What happens if Goff has a losing season but better numbers than Stafford.Nothing. But what leads you to think that's a possibility? Stafford was already putting up better numbers with the Lions than Goff was for the Rams the last few years. Do you think it's plausible that Stafford's numbers will tank and Goff's numbers will skyrocket?by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
You're really going to try and lecture people about "militantly piling on" when you've got almost 16,000 posts in 4 years? I think it's a legitimate question to ask which offense out there will be good for Goff which suggests McVay's wasn't? Where is it that Goff could go that will have better personnel and a better scheme? Are some really trying to paint a picture that Goff hasby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com

Quotewaterfield is that he is a "bad" qb. He may not be an elite qb like many believe Stafford is but he is a "good" qb. On top of all of that, the Rams have not established their home. Temporary homes and covid closures have not helped in the excitement department. Not to mention losing the SB in embarrassing fashion. And, as mentioned, historically there is a star player, usually a QB that drive a team's jersey sales. The Rams are one of the worst teams when it comes to QB continuity. Why do so many abbreviate Center as "OC"? For the longest time, "C" was fine but in recent years, it has morphed into "OC". But OC has always stood for Offensive Coordinator. I think Goff had every opportunity to improve and he ultimately failed to do so. The past 2 1/2 years, the Rams have suffered through bottom 1/3 QB play. I don't have any doubts about it being time the Rams moved on. Goff being Detroit is all on Goff so I don't really feel sorry for him.
