QuoteRampage2K- QuoteNewMexicoRam Not bad, I'd say. Wish McVay would mix things up like that. exactly......don't know what happened lately but McVay runs a pretty generic offense these days :confusedIt takes the piss out of your vinegar when your QB throws a bunch of games away.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
How responsible is he for the offense? If Moore was calling the plays today, it doesn't reflect too well on him. As many pretty numbers that the Cowboys put up the whole year, their running game was far less effective than it used to be. Is that Zeke declining or the OL or the scheme or the playcalling? I'm no McCarthy fan at all but Dallas' offense was the problem and I don't think he wasby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
Just to play Devil's advocate, the answer is appearances. A close SB is much better for the NFL than a blowout. Also, plausible deniability. A good con isn't going to be obvious. If every call went one team's way, it wouldn't be believable. Aren't there plenty of accidental open mic calls where the head referee is trying to sway an official who threw a flag?by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
It wouldn't take hundreds of people involved. It can all be manipulated by just the lead official if it wasn't the whole crew.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteStafford9 Dallas lost and Rosa and Warner are injuredYeah, was going to say the same thing. It's about as close as both teams losing as possible. Dallas actually lost and SF's got no chance against GB without Bosa and Warner. Bosa may be back but Warner's hobbled or out.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
Both playoff games today were dominated by the officials. Terrible to watch.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
I don't really like that NFL cameramen have discovered the depth of field feature of their cameras. That blurry look doesn't work for me at all.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
Every year, someone gets hot at just the right time. That's the 49ers this year.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
Quoteh2omelonhead Maybe for that play.. but they tend to blitz ALOT throughout the game. So this is actually a different look for the QB.Yeah, their blitzing seems to involve DB's coming unexpectedly more than what the Rams do. The Rams don't seem to blitz much and when they do, it is in very predictable ways.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
So, is Burrow actually better than Stafford? Seems to be more patient and mature in only his second year.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
I don't know what kind of credit to give the Buc's D today. Hurts is so lost and in over his head, it's hard to tell how well their D is doing. But, the Buc's also have their DB's sitting 15 yards off the receiver so I'm not sure if Bowles is doing anything better than Morris. Hurts is just making it easy on them.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
Maybe if you didn't act like you were the only one thinking rationally. You may not agree but people are giving reasons for why they don't like Morris.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteClassicalwit And Hurts is awful.Yeah, no one's going to care about the penalties when you've got a QB that can't read a defense.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
It isn't irrational at all. Not when the Rams were one of the best tackling teams just last year and now they're struggling. Was it definitely Morris? Maybe not but when you also consider the general tone that he has brought to the defense and it's easy to consider that he isn't instilling a toughness or fire in the defense. Part of which is hard nosed tackling.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
I just can't let myself think about "if we win" matchups. Just beat the Cardinals and I'll spend a week looking at the actual matchup.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteStafford9 some of us long timers (Georgia) witnessed crap, my patience or fuse has run out, I love this team and at times I wish I didn'tI think it's clear the other owners hated Georgia and made life harder for the Rams. I'm so happy to have Kroenke as an owner, especially by comparison. He isn't perfect but he's the best I've known as a Rams fan.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
Isn't it an indicator of what the league thinks of Morris that he hasn't had any interview requests? I still don't know what he actually brings as a DC.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
Roughing call against Brady, holding call on Kelce, PI on a screen, no late hit against Hurts out of bounds...is it just because I want the Buc's to lose or are these calls really this lopsided?by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteClassicalwit They remind me of the 2001 Patriots.I guess it depends on how you qualify that comparison. Scrappy team that barely qualified for the post season? I guess so. But those Patriots teams were aided by more than what they were doing on the field and I don't see the Raiders ever benefiting in that way. I think this year's team deserves a lot of credit for battling as much as thby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm similarly wired but spoiled by the NFL. I usually have a tougher time with other levels but I watch a lot of them. CFL, AFL, XFL, USFL, NCAA...I'll watch just about anything that's resembling professional. HS and PeeWee were only fun to play, not to watch. Speaking of spoiled, that's what led me to start tuning out of SB's and breaking that habit for a while. All the blowouts. I usedby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
I think Zeke has clearly illustrated that he benefited from a dominant OL more than he is able to create things without. Perhaps he is more dinged than is realized this year and it explains his lack of explosiveness but I don't think he'd be a good fit for the Rams. The Rams need a back that can run and catch and produce when given an opportunity. Zeke seems like a high volume guy. Iby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
That was my mindset for a long stretch of SB's. If it wasn't the Rams, I just couldn't muster any enthusiasm. There were a lot of SB's I didn't pay much attention to or just passed on altogether. Eventually and ultimately, I regretted missing them though. Between FFL and a broader general interest in the NFL, I've come to appreciate more of the teams and games. I think I've enjoyed it moreby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
It's not like my season is based on the award but now that Donald has had a dominant year(again), was all-pro(was he one of the unanimous choices?) and he's healthy going into the post season, I can't help but wonder if he's got a shot at the title again. I imagine that having won it already so many times that that will work against him with some voters. But, on the other hand, once a guy isby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
But it's usually clear who I'm rooting against. Recent SB's have generally made that an easy choice. Ravens/49ers? Don't have any love for the Ravens but on that day, I was purple and black. Chiefs/49ers? I actually don't mind the Chiefs but it was still an easy choice that day. Tomahawk chop all the way. Chiefs/Bucs? No way was I going to root for Brady so again, easily had a team to rooby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
As much as I try to keep myself from caring about awards, I still kinda hope that Donald can take home another DPOY. The last guy that was this consistently dominant was JJ Watt of the Texans but injuries derailed his reign. Most guys never come close to dominating the award but he did and Donald has since then. Injuries, age, or new stars usually combine to keep one player from winning overby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
It's true that the 49ers, Cowboys and Steelers dynasties all established country wide fan bases but it isn't a guarantee. Look at all the success the Patriots have had and they don't have the same kind of fan base. If they Rams ever become a dynasty of any particular decade, I think times have changed too much for that alone to generate a fan base like it used to. The dynasties of the 70's, 80by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteMamaRAMa QuoteRam_Ruler Is that you can hear this same sentiment from so many different places. From x players to x coaches to even people on this board who say the same thing. So how does Sean McVay keep having the same problem over and over again? And I'm not questioning his genius. I think he's an amazing offensive mind. I just don't understand how he always falls into this trap of insistby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
It's been such a downer since the loss, it's easy to forget that we still did some good things. Enough that we came from behind to win the division. It would be nice to not go through the up's and down's but the big picture is still pretty good for this squad.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
I think the loophole is that they're not counting anything before the merger.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
