QuoteRams43 Since this mock draft projects Brenden Rice to the Rams, I thought I would share a pre combine article from a USC related site dated February 13, 2024. (Note: He ran a 4.5 at the combine.) Go Rams! :beercanby Ramadune - RamsFootballFans.com

19) Los Angeles Rams: Nate Wiggins, CB, Clemson The usually offensive-minded Sean McVay chooses to shore up the defensive backfield by grabbing the second-fastest player at the Combine, Clemson cornerback Nate Wiggins. Clocking a 4.29-second 40-yard dash, Wiggins isn’t just a speedster, boasting top-level route recognition and coverage instincts.by Ramadune - RamsFootballFans.com

I know very influential people at USC. The President, Board of Regents, etc. On the athletics side I know only boosters, some pretty influential ones. I don't know any coaches. 1. The one story I heard from a couple of sources was that initially Caleb Williams wanted to be part owner of any team that drafted him. However, once they learned that active players are prevented from having an equitby Ramadune - RamsFootballFans.com

My son was recruited as a QB by Washington. Wasn't in their top 5 but further down the list. He ended up playing baseball in college, but we have followed them quite a bit as I have many family members who went there. My son lives in the PNW and has seen most of the games. QuoteHazlet Hacksaw Hoecht was good as a sub DL- got shoehorned by need into the edge. It was a really poor job by them not to find a veteran replacement who could do what he does - wouldn't have cost too much. But They decided to run him back - that is the issue. and to be clear - I'm not talking a star here just a journey man OLB whose actual position that was. Sounds great! QuoteLeoram Morris is completely aware of Hoecht's limitations. You guys do realize a fire zone is a pressure gamble that sacrifices coverage for disruption seeking a sack, right? It frequently puts some lineman in a short zone drop because they expect to get home with 5 by tricking the OL in focusing on the lineman instead of the blitzer. QuoteAlbaNY_Ram I take exception to this passage: "Typically, the mark of a good draft pick is a second contract. If a team doesn’t give a player a second contract before or after their rookie contract expires, it’s usually a sign that the player didn’t do enough to earn a long-term extension – unless they priced themselves out of the team’s range in free agency." You never said Akers would get those stats with the Rams, did you? So, he still has a shot at 1200 yards and 14 TDs. Currently, he has 69 yards and 1 TD in 2 games this season. BUT he's averaging 8 yards per carry for Minnesota. At that rate, he'll hit 1200 yards in another 141 carries. Very doable! And he only needs to average 1 TD per game over his last 13 to hit your 14 TDs predictiby Ramadune - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteLMU93 I had Akers as a 1,200-yards RB, Puka as a WR5 that might catch 10-12 passes as a rookie and Jefferson solidly as the WR2. I remember you saying Puka was going to catch 10-12 passes, but I distinctly remember you saying it was PER GAME. Also I remember you saying Jefferson was going to catch 2 passes per game, hench the nickname "WR2." So far you're spot on as he has 8by Ramadune - RamsFootballFans.com

QuoteRam_Ruler They explain it like this : Grades per play can be simpler to positive, negative, neutral. If you get a 0 (neutral) grade on any play then it means you do your job to a stalemate. Think offensive line. If the linemen clears a crater for the running back it's a positive play. If he's blown up by the defender it's negative. QuoteRam_Ruler He plays one of the most physical positions in all of sports. My guess is that every offensive lineman has nicks and bruises and sprains and things throughout the season. Plus, I was wondering how much we missed Floyd, and this was encouraging: "It’s lucky that as Leonard Floyd has had a fantastic start to his career with the Buffalo Bills, notching 3.5 sacks and seven QB hits to start the season, that his cheap rookie replacement has been about as effective as a pass rusher as his veteran predecessor." 1. Smart move. Locking up a valuable piece for a couple more years while he is still having his best years. 2. They are clearing some space for an acquisition (I type this not knowing the salary cap implications). Also, a potentially smart move depending on the acquisition. 3.
