are you saying no one should draft a QB in round 1? Or only the consensus #1 QB should be drafted in the first round? Or the top 2? So then all the 1st round graded QBs that get pushed to the 2nd round are just 2nd round busts instead of 1st round busts. The team that drafted them in the 2nd round may or may not have hit on their 1st round pick, but they still stink because that 2nd rounby Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com
As a HC and GM that have worked together for a long time now, they are really on the same page. That helps alot. GMs buy the groceries and the HC cooks with those groceries. Hard to make Roast beef, mashed potatoes and green beans when you have chicken, rice and peas. Its a pretty well oiled machine right now and it looks like it is just picking up steam. Of course there are misses in FA anby Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com
Because outside of Brady, the vast majority of SB winning QBs are 1st rounders. Going back to 1999, the only non-first round SB WINNING QBs are: Warner (1) Brady (7) Brad Johnson (1) Russell Wilson (1) Nick Foles (1) (although an argument can be made that 1st rounder Wentz got them there) Brees (33rd pick, just out of 1st round) (1) So 26 years and 6 QBs. 1st round QBs; Elway (1)by Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com
In no real order: 1. Rome Odunze - WR - Wash. - 6'-3" 212 lbs. - A playmaker with good size and speed for the position, he's a constested catch monster. Bigtime redzone threat. His RAS score was 9.92 and 2nd best among WRs It would take a massive trade up to secure him, but he is that big contested catch WR the Rams have been searching for. He is an excellent route runner, strongby Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com
These are my final positional rankings. Some of these guys could end up on 2 lists (RB, WR, OL) I put this is in a separate post from my Big Board to make it easier to ask and answer questions, but if the admins want to join them, I do not care. I will put my own thoughts under each position as far as depth and what I think of some of the prospects. And just for R2K, I will throw in lineby Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com
He's is fast, and likes to thump ball carriers, but he doesn't wrap up and goes for a kill shot. I also thought he was a bit stiff. Everyone likes hos athleticism, but his short shuttle and 3 cone says he isn't as athletic as they think. 3 ints in one season, zero the other 4. He plays the man, not the ball. So lacking ball skills. That said, I like to compare him to Nick Scott. A team firby Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com
Penalties have been and will be an issue until he cleans that up. Not a ton of ball production either. That all adds to a mid round pick IMOby Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com
Robinson is worth the risk there. Sainristil is a dynamic slot Rice can work nicely in the Rams offense The 2 DI work as really nice depth with great upside Love the Holker pick, great hands Estime and Milton would be my day 3 RB and QB targets Chambers is a rangy LB to pair with Jones Add in some more depth at S and CB and OT and add a top 2 kicker. Great work.by Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com
Alt Fashanu Fuaga Fautanu Latham Mims I think those guys are locks unless there is something we don't know. JP-J Barton these 2 IOL should go as well. So I have 6 and 2. WR you have 4 Harrison Jr Nabers Odunze Thomas Jr And at least 1, maybe all of Mitchell, Worthy and McConkey. Coleman and Legette have outside shots as well.by Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com
former safety with just great size and athleticism for the position, but should be able to cover. develop his pass rush skills and he's a beast. for the low low price of a third rounderby Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com
I find the watch list for college kicker of the year, watch him kick and then at the end of the year look at his stats. then rank. distance, accuracy, and distance accuracy. both these guys are exceptional, and with kickers more important with kickoff rules I graded a few.by Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com
we seem prety much in sync. You are a tad higher on Dorlus than I am. But that is mostly because I worry about scheme fit I guess. He is def a player. I like Logan Lee alot, but not as high as you do. But I like his fit with the Rams as a DE. One of few. This is great work, I look forward into digging into all your lists. Much appreciated.by Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com
to have all this info in one spot. Beats clicking on individual after individual. Thank you sir.by Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com
Way deeper than I went with safeties. I love Key later on in day 3 as an option. I think Kinchens will be a steal wherever he goes. You are a bit higher on Brade than I am, but I can see the placing. All in all this is one epic list. Just on shear names alone, not to mention placement.by Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com
My 2024 Big Board A few notes before I get to the list: 1. I have seen every player. Some guys I have only seen in the Senior Bowl. Others I have seen a ton. So my grading is not perfect. I tried to note the guys I saw a small sampling of. 2. This is a board built from a scoring system and not where I think they will land in the draft. That is a predictive board. 3. I simplified my scby Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com
1. His ability to find the soft spot in zone coverage. You saw that early on in the video. 2. his ability to make a contested catch. Thec4th and 10 catch. 3. his ability to change the pace of his routes, how he goes in and out of breaks in the route. it's not always full throttle in and out. game winning td catch. 4. I will post my big board hopefully this week. But after I got done with it, I went and looked at other online big boards and guys are all over after around the top 20 or 25. I have seen Legette 1st round to end 3rd. Same goes for Pearsall. Edge Cooper is between a 1st and a 4th round guy. A ton of RBs float between round 2 and 4. Mike Sainrisil is between top 50 and top 100 lol So Iby Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com
Everyone is missing something. Or coming off and injury. So I have my RBs going off in the 3rd round and forward from their. That said, who knows, Its quite possible he is a 3rd rounder.by Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com
He makes sense after a move down IMO. I think the Rams will love his athletic profile and he has a non-stop motor, and from all accounts a good guy, so its a matter of if the Rams think they can make him a finisher as far as sacks go.by Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com
I can see him going early 2nd as well. Its weird, but sometimes guys get knocked for size, and other times they don't.by Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com
I decided 7 years ago I was going to change the way I operated as far as my half assed scouting. I would still do 3 mocks, but it would be post senior bowl, post combine, and pre-draft. The senior bowl answers some questions, like can a D2 player compete with the big guys. How do they handle a pro style offense? How do they interview? The combine can confirm some stuff you think you see or don'tby Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com
Tom Brady when he starts color next year. . . . . . . . . everyone else Obviously Brady is the greatest at everything. Wonder if he will do color commentary with a deflated microphone. in all seriousness it's Summerall and Madden. And the original Gifford MNF crew behind those 2.by Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com
I think he is not a bad consolation prize in round 2 if they go a different direction in round 1. I'm still looking for a DE in this draft that fit what the Rams are looking for.by Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com
Chop and Jenkins and Hall is a great start to rebuilding the front 7. Melton is my favorite DB outside the 1st round. Rice is an absolute fit, and what I think the Rams are looking for at WR. Jones was overlooked at Texas because his teammate will be a top 3 OT drafted next year. Chambers works well next to Jones nicely. You added a PS QB, a safety that I know well when he was a CBby Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com
So just out of the 3rd round at 100, but with my rankings he is would be just fine at 99. Here's what I said on my big board: 113. Brandon Dorlus - DE - Oregon - 6'-3" 283 lbs. - Explosive with good hands and is adept at attacking gaps, run defense is a work in progress. 34 or 43 DE, maybe a 3T? He usually bull rushes, but has a good swim move and a decent cross chop. Otherwise heby Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com
I have Milton III at 138 on my final big board. So end of the 4th early 5th round option IMO. Def not day 2. He has too much work to do to be in the top 3 rounds. Positives: Arm Strength - Will walk on to an field at the next level with top 3 arm strength. Mobility - combined with his size, he was Josh Allen vibes. In fact lets check out Allen vs Milton from an athletic view: Milton isby Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com
So Pearsall is probably going to end up as my 2nd round pick in mock 2.0 There is just so much to like. Size? 6'-1" 190 lbs. CHECK Speed? 4.41 forty CHECK Athleticism? 9.90 RAS CHECK (including a 42" vert and 10'-9" broad, good gravy) Loves football? Herm Edwards was quoted as saying Pearsall just loves playing football. So yeah...CHECK Production? Over 1600 yardsby Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com
Take a flyer late on him and see if you can develop him IMO. I still like Miltons upside, but Mordecai is interesting.by Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com
I don't think Sweat is a Rams type of DL, but taking up blockers as a NT, frees up Turner, Young and hopefully Latu. And he actually had 65 more snaps than Murphy did. At 60 lbs or so heavier. I like alot of the 2nd round DL. Fiske, Sweat and Hall all look good to me. I still want a WR in round 2.by Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com
Kool Aid McKinstry ran at his pro day with a Jones fracture in his foot. 4.44 to 4.47, good time for him. Surgery on the 22nd, out a month according to him. Marvin Harrison Jr - did nothing, again. I'm really disappointed in his post season draft process or lack there of. Xavier Thomas - Edge - Clemson measured in at 6'-2" 253 and ran a 4.56 Tanner Mordecai - QB - Wisc - Ran a blistby Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com
