having the reply form on the read pages was causing various issues, the big one being login timeouts.

This was actually a reversal of a change we made two weeks ago when we turned them on (we knew of other issues with having the reply form showing on the read pages, which we figured would be tolerable, but the timeout issue was driving people crazy) .
