Even though it's quite the opposite of "Plan 9 From Outer Space".

The Thirty Nine Steps - Alfred Hitchcock. But not about the movie... rather, the actress - Doris Day.

Doris was an amazingly talented woman. Her acting in this movie is terrific. Not sure but this could be the first purely dramatic role I've ever seen Doris in... and I actually didn't need to see this movie to know Doris was a very good actress... but this role certainly made that point clear.

I haven't begun my foray into 'Romantic Movies' as yet... I got side-tracked... BUT... watching Doris last night certainly made my commitment to this genre solid. - JamesJM
