Might start with Doris Day.
as they say, they don't make them like that anymore.
"Love Me or Leave Me" is by far my favorite Doris Day film. I also like "That Touch of Mink" not just because its another Cary Grant film but because its one of two films that come to mind where, to me, the performance of one of the co-stars steals the show and that's the performance of Gig Young. He just slays me in that film.
The other film is Dr. Strangelove. When talk of that film comes up, most people talk about Peter Sellers because he played the three rolls but the reason I watch that film over and over again is George C. Scott. One of the few if not the only time George C. Scott played a comedic roll.
