by the proverbial crap. Did my weekly shopping.. I started by going to our local Academy Sports store to look at guns.. lets say if there were 40 people in the store, which is huge, 40 of them were in the gun department.. there was maybe 3 guns left on the back wall, maybe 4-5 handguns under the cabinets.. ammo has been ransacked and picked over.. in other words, everyone here has become armed.. heavily armed..
So, went to Walmart, which was a disaster last week.. Ok, there was NO items - absolutely zero - on these shelves/items:
* Meat - no meats at all, including hamburger
* Lunch meats/hot dogs/bacon - nothing.. nada.. not one package
* Breakfast items - no cereals whatsoever
* paper items - of course, no paper towels/toilet paper
* water - zippo.. not one drop
* Soups and boxed dinners - completely ransacked..
* Baby wipes, hand sanitizer, rubbing alcohol, aloe vera - all bye bye
* Frozen dinners - none.. including frozen pizzas..
People just walking around looking for ANYTHING to buy to eat..
I could go on.. This is at a Walmart Supercenter.. so.. a HUGE Walmart.. from what I saw from last week to this week, if it continues this way until next week, the store will be completely empty.. The fact that people are stocking up on fire arms and ammo is alarming.. you can't even find the type guns I want to order online - all sold out.. I did manage to get a 100 rounds of shotgun shells.. So, with what I've got we can go down swinging.. but, tow... what I saw today, it may be time to make a plan for the immediate future.. Things appear to be heating up - at least in this podunk town..
