Prescription was way off. The doctor I've been seeing for the past 8 years wasn't available when I had my exam a couple weeks ago. A different doctor handled the exam and new prescription. But my regular optometrist was there today and did the re-check. She said the new prescription is actually only a quarter different than my old one. That's how much my eyes haven't changed in the past 4 years. When she saw the new prescription from the sub doc, she apologized all over the place. The sub doc had too much astigmatism in the scrip. I don't know how that happened. Both optometrists in this office are women. Since a doctor did the evaluation and came up with a prescription I kinda trusted she knew what she's doing. Well the sub doc screwed up. I KNEW something was wrong with the prescription as soon as I put the glasses on at their office. I can't even describe my vision, it was so screwed up. I kept telling her, "I can't see through these glasses". What did the sub doc have to say? "You need to wear them for at least a week 'cause your prescription really changed. Wear them for a week, and then if you're still having problems, let us know". Well, I wore them for 2 days and just couldn't wear them any longer. I took them off and went back to my old glasses. It took 2 days more for my eyes to finally stop hurting and to feel normal again. I knew the prescription wasn't right but the sub doc didn't believe me. Anyhow they're gonna make new lenses to put in my new frames and then everything should be fine.
