The virus itself is in the danger range of normal annual flu impacts according to experts.
But the psychological impact? Economic? Both are incalculable.
The public is panicking despite all voices of reason from experts. I’ve never seen anything like this and I’ve been around for 76 years!. Lol.
Government agencies, schools, stock market, and many businesses are over-reacting Big Time. Media never misses an opportunity to throw gasoline on the flames.
Gawd!
I don’t remember such hysteria after 9/1! for cryin’ out loud.

This is getting scary economically
I looked at my portfolio a couple of weeks ago and was shocked at the drop in total value. It was A LOT (gulp). That was a couple of weeks ago. I'm sure it's way worse today. I can't even look at it right now because I think seeing what I've lost could give me a heart attack.
Yeah, don't even look...it will make you sick, but have faith this will be over soon and things will bounce back. It's the short term hit to the pocketbooks and job losses is what scares me the most.
To each his/her own Rampage2K. I followed that same advise back in 2008 and lost several years of savings. Though still a little late, I've moved to the sidelines.
Had you stayed in you would have recouped all the losses by 10 fold, hope you didn't pull out in 2008....like real estate, stocks are a long term game. It's just scary how this has affected everything so rapidly. It will soon be over and a recovery will be swift.
It's the short term hit to local economies that worry me the most....and the uncertainty that comes with it.
