I have vacillated between overreaction and appropriate
We have a vulnerable portion of the population that we have to protect. You would be in that category my friend
At the same time the run on hand sanitizer, soap, and toilet paper is overboard
I manage two Airbnb’s with my side business. One of them in the heart of capitol hill had 3 cancellations today. So the entire rest of this month is open. Ouch!!
And DC is not a hotspot right now. Everything is open including the museums
I hear ya, Speed.
A few examples that I consider over-reactions:
NBA suspending season and playoffs.
Princess cruises just emailed a notice that they are suspending cruises for 60 days.
A local Costco had a riot that required calling police when the Costco temporarily ran out of water and toilet paper. Emphasis temporarily.
A friend of mine went to another local CostCo yesterday and could hardly find a parking place on a Wednesday mid-day. Reason? Costco was forced to form a special line dedicated to strictly water and toilet paper purchases ONLY (limit 2 per customer). That line went out the door and halfway across the parking lot!
People are acting foolishly out of sheer panic over a flu strain not really unlike those we deal with every single year. SMH...
