I believe I'd use Garageband, from Apple.... but any similar music app would work. I have a USB Mixer and can plug my acoustics into it and record. I could use my Roland TD-17 BUT... I think I'd prefer the sound out of my acoustics.... although it would take a full day of tuning them just right.

And for Aries... I assume you are on a Windows computer... I don't know but I have to believe that Windows has a 'free' app similar to Garageband from Apple... and if so.... that would REALLY make recording .wav drum sequences easy. You wouldn't have to tap out anything, or hand enter anything... using the 'stock' patches that come with the app, (you can tweak them however you like), you could allow the app to do the entire drum track for you, fills and all. - JamesJM
