I think there should have been more tracers than flak....IMO The over use of flak and having a Yorktown class carrier sinking , instead of the Lexington, at Coral Sea, were the two biggest CGI screw ups. And being nit picky.....The B25s were the wrong model, during the Doolittel raid and the wing star insignias were wrong on the B25s.....Minor gripe though. As a big time WWII History / Midway buff, I was very pleased with the movie. Funny thing with me....When I heard Woody Harrelson was cast as Nimitz, I was sorta bummed. But Woody did a AWESOME job and did have a strong resemblance.
