I have 3 drum kits.... well, 4 kind of. First set I ever owned I can't actually 'count'... I loaned them to a nephew and he no longer uses them but I know where they are.
Don't wish to bore the hell out of you BUT...
1st Kit... Ludwigs. Still love their 'sound'... built like a tank.
2nd Kit - Tama's... still like the Tama bass drum best of any I've owned... deep, mellow, chest vibrating THUMP.
3rd Kit - Pearl Masters... over all the best kit I've owned.
4th Kit - Roland Electronics.. the most fun.. not even close to my 'favorite' but fun out the whazoo. Best thing about the Rolands is I can always have them set up, ready to go. AND... I use headphones so I only 'minimally' annoy everyone else in the house... and note: "minimally"... even without using my PA just the sounds of the pads can reach thru doors.
I had one other kit... an electronic kit when they first came out, also Roland... BUT... it's in pieces now.. I have the brain and a few pads but I hate them.
Ok, moving on:
ANYTHING musical, Steve... and I'm a wimpy sucker for it all. I have owned, and still own, many things... conga's, bought a trumpet just a couple of years ago, (cheapo and it wasn't worth it), various persussion items but a few other things as well.. and NONE of that count things like amps, speakers, etc.
I still have NOT bought a Cajon... and you know what? I've put that off for too long... signing off... I'm going to buy a Cajon.. TODAY. - JamesJM
