Never gets old, neither does my story...

well, maybe my story. laughing smiley

Skipped all media that day... as you know they didn't show the game 'live'. Was running a lot in those days... so between the 2nd and 3rd period I challenged myself... "If I can run a mile in under 5 minutes the USA will win the game"....

2nd period ends... and I hit my 'mile' course.... finished at around 4:50.... I did it... and the rest is history.

The next night I attended a Tri-County Youth Football meeting... after the meeting I told everyone there... "How about a hand for the USA Hockey team".... few at the meeting had any idea what I was talking about... and even for those who knew the majesty of the game had yet to seep in.... but today, everyone knows.

I don't have a 'favorite' song, or movie, or football game, or Ram moment....but USA Hockey team's win against Russia.. and the "Gold" a few days later.... is for me, and I think most who saw it, lived it.... is the greatest sporting moment in history.

And speaking of which.... my favorite line in a movie EVER was in Miracle... during the ending credits and speaking of Herb Brooks and the movie... "He never saw it......... He lived it". - JamesJM
