My wife who dislikes loud action movies loved it-as I did. I only know two people in "racing" and they both are formula one junkies. My English neighbor actually was in McQueen's "Le Mans"-the part where the actual footage of the 1970 race in which he was part of a Ferrari pit crew. John saw Ford v Ferrari and agreed it was done very well. He also said Carrol Shelby was a total @#$%& but Miles was as depicted-a driver who treated his race cars as living beings. He says among racers the movie Gran Prix is still the best.
Yeah-you might want to return to the big screen and see it again. There are parts where you are actually in the car and the theater is shaking !
I thought the last scene between Shelby and Miles' son was terrific along with the unspoken look between Miles wife and Shelby. An entire story without a word spoken. Just an understanding.
