with any sports interests. We live about 20-30 minutes from Bowman gray Stadium located in Winstom-Salem. It is the longest lasting weekly race track that is NASCAR sanctioned. Like since 1949. 1/4 mile asphalt track, does a lot of modified division stuff. Petty has run there, Junior Johnson, David Pearson, several of the Earnhardts as well over the ages.
Have gone there several times on a Sat. nite over the years. Charlotte is about 1 hr. away we went to the Charlotte 600 a few years back...kinda like $40-$50 a ticket but it lasts like for ever.....buzzzzzzz...rush of wind....buzzzzzz....rush of wind....head swivels...when we left couldn't hear a thing going home....and my eyes kept rotating with my eyelids shut in the bed....
IMO it's a nice thing to see if you haven't gone...but you GOTTA have interest to go to have any fun....By the way the death of Dale was a shock...but it has not had a thing to do with the fans around here....still big interest in the Carolinas. He's remembered but I think there are issues with how these "new" drivers act at times that brings issues to those who remember the "Days of Glory" type times.....kinda like all sports in that way IMO.
