about 20 feet behind, when I took walks in the neighborhood with my family......
I had a cat in college and one year I had to leave it with my parents and it walked around the house with my sock for a long time when I left.
When I would sit on the couch it would always come sit on the back by my head. I have a picture of it I will post.
