I should say up front that I'm not a cat person. We never had house cats... lots of outdoor cats, I still have an outdoor cat, but an indoor cat I've probably only had 2, maybe, in my entire life.
Recently we got 2 of them... I relented and allowed it mainly hoping they could help with mouse control... (fingers crossed). So I'm learning cats.
One of my Grandson's, Ashton, talked me into it. He fell in love with one of the two cats we got.... loves them both but one especially... now here is what I don't get, and didn't know...
That cat actually waits for him to get home... and celebrates when he gets home. Then follows him around the house, no matter where he goes... LIKE A DOG!!!!! Is that common, or even normal?
If he walks down the hall his cat is behind him. If he goes to bed the cat gets in bed with him. If Ashton isn't home and you're holding and petting his cat and then Ashton enters the house the cat will leap from your lap, clawing his way if need be, to rush to Ashton.
This is stunning to me.... but like I said, I'm not a cat person and I don't know cats very well at all. - JamesJM
