To repeat, (mentioned this before some time back) - I belong to a group on the internet of fellow actors who attended the same college that I did... some when I attended and we were in many plays together. Some of them went on to work in film in various capacities. They, in turn, know many people still involved in movies - actors, directors, producers, casting agents, etc... who we're all in contact with occasionally. My point:
And this is somewhat 'anecdotal' but at the same time what I reference here represents a LOT of people involved in movie making.. a LOT. Word is that 1917 is not only the 'winner' this year but possibly one of the greatest films ever made... but like some here have noted that belief stems mostly from the artistic expression... NOT the story, plot, itself.
