It's been a while since I last saw a movie at the theater. My daughter and a bunch of her co-workers took me to see 50 Shades of Gray in 2015 while I was having chemo (I fell asleep during the movie and missed most of it). Fast forward 4 years and since grandson loved, loved, loved Frozen and we've watched it at least a hundred times at my house, I decided to go with them to the movie theater to see Frozen 2. The movie just came out on Nov. 22 so we waited a week and went to see it last Saturday morning. I was absolutely shocked at how much it cost!! My ticket was $9.00. I bought a small popcorn and a medium root beer for another $13.20. So... $22.20 just for me?! What an eye opener!!!!!!!!! How in the world do families do it? I think I'll just stick to waiting for movies to appear on cable. I don't HAVE to see a movie when it first comes out. I don't HAVE to have a drive-in size movie screen and surround sound or an hour worth of previews before the movie starts. I have all the movie channels and I don't mind waiting. Besides, I thoroughly enjoy watching movies and munching on snacks to my heart's content in the comfort of my own home.
