and I don't want to say I was disappointed... it is a charming movie, very well made, very well acted... and I loved it... but it wasn't all I had hoped it would be.
That could be for a very simple reason... I was expecting too much.
Natalie Wood is adorable, as the young girl. As an adult.. she stayed that way... IMHO one of the most beautiful 'people' that ever lived.
Edmund Gwenn, (did I get that right?), is perfect as Santa. Wonderful performance, and from an actor I know almost not at all.
I don't know what I was expecting, (other than too much)... but it just didn't have the 'magic' of "It's A Wonderful Life"... perhaps I waited too long to see it.
