CGI....Yes, some of it could have been toned down. There was a glaring screw up with the Coral Sea battle (If you know Pacific History) BUT....A LOT of it was VERY VERY well done too. It was so cool seeing the Enterprise and Hornet live again. And yes, I smiled big when I saw the SBDs........And had even more appreciation for those back seat guys. They did a great job of cramming a LOT....I mean A LOT!!! of stuff into 2 hrs and 20 min. I thoroughly enjoyed it And you guys know me, I don't say that often about movie experiences.
