I can't really comment much on this because I'm that person that doesn't associate a specific song with a specific artist... for the most part anyway. The only artists in that list I know much about are Whitney Houston, Judas Priest, The Doobie Bros and The Dave Matthews Band.
OH SURE, I know the others... well, not T. Rex or MC5..who in the living hell are they?..... but I couldn't name a single song they play... I absolutely WOULD know their most popular songs if I heard them, however. Like Pat Benatar... I know Pat, know her well, so why can't I think of one song she does? I dunno. Same with Depeche Mode, and the others... again, with the exception of T Rex and MC5.
