I've been that way most of my adult life. For me it was giving up alcohol several hours before bedtime, removing myself from the computer also hours before, taking Melatonin. and reading in bed. That assures me of sleeping through the night and getting 6-7 hrs sleep-which to me is like 8-9 hrs for most people.
I read in an MD magazine that looking at a digital screen like tv, or a computer before retiring makes it difficult for the brain to begin to slow down enough to allow for sleep.
