All of the music concerts I've been to as a working adult have been jazz concerts, and I've been to way too many to single out one or two as "the best". Every single one of them were fantastic and evoked the same emotional high in me as the the rest.
The first concert I ever went to was The 5th Dimension when I was a freshman in college. I was mesmerized, as I'd never seen "famous people" in person before and I just loved their music. While in college, I also went to a concert that featured Johnny Mathis and Henry Mancini and another that featured Dionne Warwick. I felt like I was in heaven.
The only rock concert I've ever been to was The Doobie Brothers. Saw it during my college years as well. Loved the music, but didn't care for the atmosphere so much. It was during the hippie years so it felt a little bit like a small-town Woodstock in terms of the audience, if you know what I mean. Just not my scene.
