although being an Electrician. on a nuclear submarine would be pretty impressive as well

The very first place I got stationed was Patuxent River Maryland

which is a Navy Weapons test station

and when you're a 18 year old kid from Iowa , all of a sudden working on state of the art weapon systems that haven't even made it to the fleet was pretty frick-in sweet

at that time laser guided weapons delivery systems were still in their infancy , which was mostly what what we worked on , not everything cool smiley , but mostly , it's all standard now , but at the time

chances are , where ever your son goes , he'll be probably working on the most advanced electrics there are

I know I was years !!!! ahead of my time.............lol
