First off, I hope everyone is enjoying their summer. Mine has been wet. Late wet spring, followed by wet summer. Its going to be a long fall. But i cannot complain, cattle look great, pastures are green and corn is growing about 4 inches a day...lol
Anyhow, I am thinking about buying a smoker to do ribs and chicken and brisket and such in/on...whatever. I'm a grill guy mostly, due to my schedule, but I would like to get into ribs and brisket, because out here in the northern plains, there aren't any good BBQ joints within an hr of our place.
I want to start small simply because I'm a beginner, and hate to dump a grand into something I may or may not have the time or talent to do it well, or we just don't like it.
