and entertaining,.

About lost things.... and I believe this is universally true. Replace a lost an item and you'll immediately, or nearly so, find the lost item. Here's two that just happened to me.

Lost my boat keys. This was during late fall so I had all autumn and winter to find them but couldn't. Come spring I replaced the ignition switch. Later that day I cleaned out a drawer and found the old keys in the pocket of a pair of shorts.

Pocket knife. I bought a pocket knife, (Case), because it was the same model my grandfather used his entire life. Lost it. Searched every shirt, pair of pants, drawer in the house. Gone... for over 6 months I looked. Gave up.. bought a new one. The day it came in we were going boating and I keep a small bag with items I MUST have every boating trip, like my boat keys... (see above)... looked in the bag to check for my boat keys and presto, my original case knife.

This happens a lot... and I mean a LOT... and it can't just be me. - JamesJM
