Not many places like that.... I hear Flagstaff is close. Another place that I think would be great is the Tuscany area of Italy. I have been there during all seasons... but not on one visit.
Yeah if winter gets to you, New England ain't the place to move to.
Though to be honest, in northern COASTAL New England, it's just not as cold as other places I have lived. Winters in Chicago were worse. Manitoba too of course.
If winter is no big deal to a person, they can handle this. In itself, it's not excessive or extreme. And of course the towns and counties and state are built to handle winter. Though they do last longer. It can be "wintry" in April. I love wood stoves so that's fine with me.
I missed winter when I didn't have it.
