When I was a college student in Wichita, Kansas I worked part-time at a bank. An elderly woman who worked there as a vice-president, would take a fall vacation every year without fail to New Hampshire and Vermont. She loved to be there when the leaves began to change. I've not been to New England or Colorado in the fall so I can't choose from personal experience. But if I had to choose just from photos I've seen, I'd pick New England.
