But what's interesting is that among them are my "favorite bad/mediocre" movies. Those are movies I don't seek out deliberately, and would never objectively rank highly and would never recommend them, but if they're on when I just happen to sit down for some tv, I invariably watch them again...and I mean across years, every time one of those comes on when I am just doin tv, I give them a watch.
One prominent one on the list---The Hunt for Red October.
Now truth is, in terms of production values and so on, THFRO is really not a "bad" movie," and in some senses it's a good one, but it's not THAT good. Plus it is full of dreadful cliches and pretty laughably propagandistic cold war attitudes.
But I always watch it.
