Mostly stopped all the junk food
We 90% of the time (meals) eat fresh foods.
Meat, fish, veggies, fruits, organic ice cream (can't quit it all) and my wife bakes from scratch.
My downfall was milk, vanilla ice cream and oreos at 2am..
We started this after my 3rd cardiac event.
The real test is when I'm on my own.
Took some getting used to, lots of moaning, groaning and @#$%& on my part, but I hardly ever cheat nowadays. Except when we go to my mom's. Can't be disrespectful, when she cooks your "special" meals.....lol
We live really close to the grocery store and my wife usually goes every day.
I understand this would be hard for most.
The real payback is that in 5 years I've been able to go to the lowest milligrams on all of my heart and cholesterol meds..........
