I was attending the Nutcracker Suite ballet in Cleveland. . . unfortunately, it was being performed at the same time the Browns were in a critical play-off bid. My ex girlfriend's brother, still, was monitoring the game with radio and ear piece. What I didn't realize was that many others in the hall were doing the same.
And during a quiet, low key segment of the ballet. . . suddenly. . . you could hear a loud burst of cheers the very moment the Browns won. . . much to the dismay of the " classical, elitist snobs" who actually believed a ballet was more important than the Browns going to the play-offs.
Tom and I let out a burst of joy. . . which could have been an embarrassing moment. . . except we were joined in unison with the others. There
is security in numbers.
