Being half Italian myself I understand the danger and risk of ridicule you take by admitting that about Martin- though I like Dean a lot too..
My father and brothers grew up in Brooklyn in the 1930s. One uncle that loved music used to go see live shows a lot and one night apparently went to see a guy and came home saying that this new kid named Sinatra was really good and might make it one day..
I had a cousin that worked for Capitol Records in LA for many years and one year in the early or mid 80s gave my father as a gift every Sinatra album made with Capitol. Brand new and still shrink wrapped. I still have the box of them. Still untouched.
Sinatra's time at Capitol Records were some of the best years of his career, in my opinion, in terms of the quality of his voice and in the songs and albums he recorded. WOW!! I'm sure those albums are priceless.
