well, not really annual.. more like, every few years.
Crowds going wild over a 'dunk'... but before I begin, I can see this in HS... but after that? For these guys that are 7'23" it takes about as much athleticism for them to dunk as it does for me to hit my mouth with a McD's french fry. Even the 'fancy' dunks, while perhaps fun to watch if very inventive, are anything BUT awe-inspiring to me... while crowds respond like the dunk was akin to hurdling the great wall of China while eating a taco spilling none of the contents and carrying a pregnant pygmy goat on their back.
Or let me put it this way... the football equivalent to a 7'45" inch basketball player dunking would be a football player catching a punt without muffing it. Laudatory, for sure, but hardly awe-inspiring.
Ok, so start yelling at me.. BUT... keep one thing in mind... I am NOT saying basketball players are not athletic... quiet contrary.... I think they are some of the MOST athletic athletes there are.- JamesJM
