closer to $2,000, so more expensive. It's the only treadmill I've ever used so I cannot compare different models.
The one I have got the most good reviews, in that price range, but NOT by a wide margin.
I got mine directly from NordicTrack, (same price as the other places that sell it).... but I would give Costco this: No better place to 'return' something should the need arise. I wanted to use Costco, and perhaps should have.. but allowed myself to believe in my own research and I AM NOT QUALIFIED TO DO THAT. My guess is Todd's is just as good if not better.
My treadmill was rated as having one of the 'softest' treadmills itself... easy on the legs... BUT... it seems very hard to me - but that is because I am used to running on dirt roads, levees... which are MUCH softer than any treadmill. I cannot say how it compares to Ferragamo's but in my opinion if mine is 'soft' then they ALL must be pretty hard. If you're used to pavement, or concrete, they are probably ALL softer than that. For example: NEVER, in all my running days on dirt, did I have trouble with my feet... on this treadmill my feet got very sore for about week.
I don't know about the built in workout programs these treadmills have... nearly all of them are TOUGH, if you're just starting. You can manual start, which is probably just as good, but the programmed workouts are so tough that if you can do them you don't really need the treadmill in the first place.
I can certainly see how they could be useful.. eventually.. personally I wouldn't consider the electronic workout programs much of a consideration... meaning you could go 'cheaper', than mine anyway.
Another 'diss' on mine... it pretty much requires, (not sure, it may demand), a subscription to iFit... which is expensive. NordicTrack was running a deal when I bought mine where you got 3 years for free... but I think a 'family' iFit subscription is around $35 per month. So if Todd's does NOT require that I'd say that's a definite plus for his treadmill over mine.
