there is some... I can't say it's a lot.
Been on several diets in my life and I have this unique malady... EVERY diet I have ever started, no matter how low calorie my diet is, (in the past I've been under 800 calories a day, not recommended) during the first two weeks I gain a LOT of weight... probably a pound every couple of days... at two weeks I stabilize, for about a week, maybe two, and then the weight begins to fall off rapidly.
Cardiovascular - suffering here... BUT improving. I'm not even trying to run yet... just brisk walks at about 3.5mph. An hour, sometimes a little longer. Nice to be able to program in a route using google earth and walk anyplace on earth BUT... fact is I don't view the screen all that often. Instead, I listen to books... and even that doesn't work very well. I haven't tried watching a movie yet but I will, and soon.
Nope.. like it's always been for me, my 'day-dreams' are the best mental boost while working out. Dreaming of what I will be able to do when back into decent shape.
About the 'walks' - - I know it doesn't sound like much, because it isn't
, but it is for me... I am VERY out of shape... PLUS... I choose routes that have inclines... which the treadmill adjusts for automatically. So it's not, or hasn't been, any 3-4 miles walks on flat ground. Today I walked exactly 3.5 miles and gained 500'... not a lot, I know, but I was huffing and puffing. - JamesJM
