Geez, we're losing so many musicians.

Ok... a rant.

Only for us 'mature' music fans.. .(NOT elderly, just aged like fine wine)...

I don't see that many 'new' movies.. very few, actually. So I can't say this is 'the' trend, or that it's 'predominant'.. HOWEVER... with those I have seen of late I have noticed that the musical sound tracks to nearly all of them are going back... way back actually. And it's GREAT... BECAUSE...

Today's music is not good. I'm not denying their talent... the voices, their ability to play a musical instrument.. just saying the 'songs' are.... ehhhh.

Yesterday's music is SO MUCH better, IMHO... that I find myself loving some of those songs played in the background during movies even though "at the time" those songs were famous they were not favorites of mine... but today they sound FANTASTIC.

Ok, so I'm an old man ranting about youth... I can live with that.
