although , we have been getting hit pretty good this year
but really the good thing is , the state and county are pretty well equipped
what can look like a total disaster one day , two days later , it looks pretty much unnoticeable
my main concern are the firefighters and paramedics , if someones house catches on fire , or if a person has a medical emergency , their pretty much out of luck
the sad thing is , this time of year when the temperature plummets , people use supplemental heat , wood burning stoves , space heaters , etc
keeping the furnace ventilation open and not getting buried by snow is hugely important
I don't know what the percentage is , but the number of house fires in the winter is quite a bit higher
days like yesterday , if someone needed an ambulance , the wait could be substantial , depending on where you live , might not show up at all
thats not me , but welcome to Iowa........lol
