My problem-anxiety and hips

To be honest I'm anxious about returning to skiing. I've got a lot of metal in my hips having two hip replacements-one for each side. Even though the orthopedic surgeon said its OK just stick to the lesser steep runs I'm really frightened about a hip popping out on a slope. Then I'm in a world of trouble and hurt. There are not screws and pins in a hip replacement-unlike a knee replacement. It's simply pressure that keeps the prosthetic in the socket.

And then of course: as you get older you tend to lose that same confidence you once had-which by itself leads to falls.

That video of Teddy falling was just a minor mishap compared to some other crashes he's been in. And as you an I have discussed those head traumas can be just as serious as in football, their just not as frequent.
