played with a pianist from Cuba, had a special guest guitarist ( Chinese woman...forget the name) and an accordion dude from Italy. 1st off I don't like the accordion...guess it takes a mid westerner...lol....It was a totally acoustic show.
Played for a good 2 hours did some of his new album and some off his Beatles cover stuff mostly. Must say I liked his fusion stuff back in the day more ( Electric Rendezvous, or his work with Corea), but it was a nice show....very small place...holds about 900 and maybe half filled. That doesn't surprise me as well.....High Point is not exactly the spot for stuff like what he does.
I guess 1 good thing was that my ears were not ringing when we left.......lol....it was a chance to see a real talented guy play his instrument.
