I loved that movie too. But I don't think it is a chick flick which is one targeted primarily to a female audience. The fact that we both loved the movie proves it doesn't fit that definition. Some could argue that Out of Africa was a chick flick because it was all about the romance between Streep and Redford, Yet it was based on a true account of Karen Dinesen's life in Africa.

I suppose I don't care for the term "chick flick" because its based on the assumption that men cannot enjoy and identify with classic romantic connections. Another movie about star crossed lovers was one of my all time favorites The English Patient.
