Davis is a safe community. Very much a typical college town with lots of coffee houses and vegan restaurants, etc. It also is a family oriented town that goes along with the professors, post grad students, underclassmen, etc. As opposed to many cities people actually COME INTO Davis at night and on the weekends just to mingle and find people they know.
