My 'gut' tells me he won't take it.... especially if he gets an offer closer to home. A LOT closer. I could be wrong.... but that's what my heart tells me.
Compounding this is that my family is incredibly close... much closer than other families that *I* know.... we vacation together, dine together, all holidays together. Only my son ventured out and he went FULL out to England. He's not at all used to being away from home... so your post is well noted.
