I Read an interview with Derringer who said that he had been using the two handed tapping technique for a while and it was even on one of his live LP's - Live in Cleveland, or something like that - and that they had been doing You Really Got Me, which as we know is a Kinks song, for years.. I even saw video of Derringer doing You Really Got Me a full year before the first VH LP came out.. He claims that it was actually possible that VH stole the 2 handed tapping technique from him.. he modified and frankensteined it, but the original tapping technique was being done for years before VH came out..
