1976 in Ft Worth with Bob Seger opening.. Artful Dodger was the third act, but dunno if they were on the bill the whole tour, or not.. Was my second rock concert - should have been my third.. Saw Ted Nugent here in town a week or two before the Kiss Destroyer tour in '76.. The night before the Kiss show, Jethro Tull was playing in Dallas.. We decided to go to that show, spend the night, then go to Kiss the next night.. On the way (about a 130 mile drive to Ft Worth) our car broke down and we ended up staying in Decatur, or Denton until the car was fixed.. Had we not gone earlier to see Tull, we would have missed Kiss..
Tickets were $7 - I got mine through snail mail from County Seat in Ft. Worth and still have the stub.. There was a 25 cent service fee.. so, $7.25 total for an 8th row seat.. Now the service charge is $20 a ticket alone.. if you're lucky.. and all you can buy are scalped seats.. When I saw Kiss in '96 on the Reunion tour, we shelled out $300 for two tickets, but when Ace walked out on the platform that swung out over the crowd, we were 3 feet away from him...
Friendship is like peeing your pants.. Everybody can see it, but only you can feel the warmth..
