Recently had a doctor's appointment... they do it in 'stages' now.. .check in... then wait, then move to a second waiting room.. then move to another room and wait again. I was in the 2nd stage.... with some other's, and on my 'Smart Phone".

A lady came in and sat next to me... laughing, a friendly lady. She then proceeded to announce to all of us waiting, and all on our smart phones, how times had changed... and no one talked any more. We were all on our smart phones... and this lady told us a story of how she used to actually 'meet' people in doctor waiting rooms... talk to them.

As she spoke I felt more and more guilty... even eventually putting my smart phone away. Her story was short... but accurate, I thought.

Then she finished her story... my smart phone now in my pocket... took out her smart phone and started doing what people do on smart phones. She spoke no more... and neither did the rest of us.

Not sure if there is a moral to this story or not.
